When the owner of AstroLab Studios came to me with his vision for a new boutique photography brand, we immediately started brainstorming ideas for the name and the overall feel of the business. We knew it had to be different, exciting and inviting.
We also knew the brand had to have a custom character design.
As this was going to be the sister business to AstroLab, we had to use a space theme throughout the brand. We settled on a retro-futurism style and developed a friendly, retro brand that is instantly recognizable and stands out from the crowd.
With that, Rocket Fox was born - a videographer fox from outer space with a Super Dave Osborne flair.
Other references that contributed to the brand were The Jetsons and Speed Racer.
